In my readings, I meet many people who have thought so hard, for so long, that the voice of their own heart has become inaudible to them.
This was when I first began taking people’s troubles over the telephone.
Until then, the only method I knew read a person’s nature and the rhythm of their fortune from their date of birth.
But over the phone, very often, I did not have the caller’s date of birth. Again and again, I was at a loss.
And then — I noticed something.
Every single person has a name.
The caller. And the person they were troubled by. Their names, at least, everyone would tell me.
"What if I read the sounds of the name — one sound at a time?"
The instant the thought came, before my head had reasoned anything out, my heart had already moved and said: this one.
And when I tried it, the person came into view with a clarity that startled me.
Had I stayed in my head, working out the theory, I would never have arrived there.

Intuition is not a guess
We tend to treat intuition as something loose and unserious. It isn’t.
Intuition is everything you have lived, everything you have seen and survived, arriving at an answer faster than language can assemble one. It is not the opposite of thinking. It is thinking that has finished before you noticed it start.
How to tell intuition from fear
They can be hard to tell apart, so here is the difference I have come to trust.
Intuition is quiet, and the body grows lighter. There is a settling, an ah, this one.
Fear is noisy, and the body tightens. It arrives with what if, and it wants you not to move at all.
When you cannot decide, don’t ask which option is correct. Ask which one makes your shoulders come down.
What the sounds of your name have to say about this
The sounds of a name carry how a person is built to decide — some know instantly and should trust it; others genuinely need to gather and settle before they move, and rushing them is a kind of harm.
Neither is better. But knowing which one you are ends a long argument with yourself.
And when you have lost the sound of your own heart altogether, there is always somewhere to come back to. The sounds of your name — the first thing you were ever given, and the thing you will hear more than any other word in your life.
